For example, every month the local Markets are on where you can find all sorts of bargains. We have a number of yearly events to keep you busy as well if you are in town at the right time. Great Southern Blues Festival During the October long weekend the town hosts one of the worlds most popular Blues Festivals. Acts and visitors from around the world converge on Narooma to make some loud bluesy music for everyone to enjoy. Eurobodalla Annual Photographic Exhibition This event showcases the photographic works of various local photographers, both professional and amateur alike. Open to anyone with a camera, it is a great opportunity to show off pictures you might otherwise leave hanging on your wall. Whale Watching Between September and November Whales can be see just about everywhere. You don't have to get on a boat to enjoy them, just stand on a headland for a while and you will spot them playing in the deeper water. They have been seen as close as 200 metres from the surf. But to get really close you need to be in a boat so get onto one of the many charters available and start spotting. Don't forget to take your camera. Horse Riding There are lots of trails around the region to challenge all riders, experienced and beginners alike. You can spend hours exploring our region on horseback and discover some really facinating locations which others can't get to.
