We've all heard of E-Bay and we know that they pretty much have the Online Auction market all to themselves, but the problem with having such a large market share is that you'll tend to get a bit greedy.
During my travels as a computer fixer upper I see and hear lots of things and most recently what I have been hearing is that E-Bay has been putting up its fees and charges to a point where it's often just to expensive to sell your stuff. Since November 2007 I have had atleast 25 people tell me that E-Bay are getting greedy and that selling their items online has become to costly. Recently someone mentioned to me a new Australian Auction site - Oztion. I have been looking at it over the past few days and decided that I like the idea of a locally grown online auction and figured it couldn't hurt for me to support them by signing up as a Buyer and a Seller. They don't have a lot of stuff for sale right now by the looks of things but I think it will become popular over time and the number of items available will increase dramatically. The fees seem to be much cheaper than E-Bay which is of course a consideration but for me the fact it's Australian makes me want to use it rather than the billion dollar international E-Bay. If you have something you want to buy or sell, why not give them a try. There is nothing like supporting Australian business. Go there now - www.oztion.com.au |
